Join the The School for Contemporary Dance and Thought (S.C.D.T.) and the Arts Trust for POP Northampton! - a community-building, performance-based celebration of the new dance school and new downtown Northampton arts space on Thursday May 29 from 5:00 to 9:00pm at 33 Hawley. POP Northampton! will include live music by Bill O’Haire, and dance performances by SCDT affiliates and students. A dance party featuring local producer/DJ TAMBO follows, as well as a Northampton Arts Trust talk and tours of the building. For reservations call 413.695.1799. From modern dance performance installations to hip-hop to contemporary Indian, SCDT has gathered a collective of professionals who have danced across the globe with world-renowned dance companies such at BB Miller and Bill T Jones.
